Rotex Glass Limited registered under number 873524 at the CAC in Nigeria, is a division of Rotex Group of companies based mainly in Europe. For 17 years and counting, since 1998, Rotex Group has become a highly reputable and active player in this industry in Europe. Rotex Glass Limited shall produce high quality glass solutions like windows and doors in Nigeria using metal-uPVC profiles from a leading German manufacturer, Aluplast GmbH and hardware from a world market leader, Roto Frank AG.
Windows and doors in Africa till date have mainly played the simple role of creating spaces for ventilation and let some light into a house. Rotex Glass Limited decisively intends to reveal the true importance of these products in the building industry.
Upon commencement of production, Rotex Glass Limited shall become the first producer of glass solutions with major focus on energy-saving double glazing units in Nigeria. Its two production lines in Nigeria are planned to start operation soon. The production lines, related equipment and materials for Metal-uPVC window and double-glazing fabrication shall all be imported from Europe’s top brands. The entire production process shall be managed by our highly experienced staff from Europe, who shall gradually pass on their expertise to local Nigerian staff.
From onset, apart from European standard metal-uPVC windows and doors, our company shall also offer structural glazing for high rise buildings. These types of houses will benefit most, from using the energy-saving glass Rotex Glass Limited offers. Energy-saving (solar control) glass reflects up to 65% of heat rays coming from the sun, thereby reducing enormous electrical energy Nigeria spends on powering cooling systems like airconditioners, fans etc. Such products of such quality are only imported ready-made into Nigeria till date. Rotex Glass Limited aspires to reduce this trend of outflow of foreign currency by making these products more affordable to Nigerians while manufacturing in Nigeria.
The company plans to export its products successfully to other African countries, as market investigation shows that there are no viable competitors at the moment in countries sharing borders with Nigeria. Initial activities in Nigeria:
1. In March 2013, Rotex Glass Limited hosted a successful product Launch at the Raddison Blu Hotel in Lagos, with a question and answer session with top professionals in the industry in Nigeria. All products were highly commended by the guests.
2.In May 2013, Rotex Glass and Aluplast GmbH participated in a Forum/Exhibition organised by the Nigerian Institute of Architects at the Eko Hotels in Lagos, where guests testified to the need for our products in Nigeria. -
